Mother Earth

She can’t speak for herself

At least, not with words

But please, believe there’s hurt:

Mother Earth.

It’s time we put her first

As she was, before our dearth

In Spirit and connection to land that fed us,

Quenched our thirst:

Mother Earth.

Edging towards rebirth

If we choose to break the curses

Re-aligning verses

With the truths that we’ve perverted

Searching other planets

From a paradise deserted

Tell me if it’s worth it:

Mother Earth.
